Hi mamma D,
It is great that you are hanging in there! You certainly have the drive and determination to get through this early part of your quit.
Take a look at the Emergency Coping Plan in Tools and Resources. Keep
this handy for when you go through cravings. This will
help give you steps to follow if it just gets to be too much. Also, be
sure to post in the support group when you are having a bad crave or if you are having a moment of weakness on the weekend.
There is normally a Health Educator or member here to help you through
it.
Members, how did you get through the intense cravings of the first weekend of your quit?

Hanging in there!!! Lots of cravings but I'm able to fight them off. I feel just a tad on edge...lol..Knowing that I have a short fuse right now, I try to keep to myself and keep busy. I have been taking welbutran which really helps..even though I smoked right through taking them before. I can truly say that i can feel my breathing getting deeper which is a great beginning. This will be my first weekend smoke free. I will stay close Many thanks to all who have responded back. Knowing that there is someone there to help and guide me through these tough times is a tremendous help.
